Terms & Conditions

Throughout the Terms and Conditions "I", "My", "This" refer to me as the sole trader operating under the name AssureUX. Similarly, "AssureUX" refers to my sole trader business.

1. Introduction

Welcome to AssureUX.co.uk. By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this website or services.

2. Services Provided

My services include, UI/UX testing, QA testing, performance testing etc. for your website or app. The specific details, deliverables and scope of the services can be found on the services page, which is hereby incorporated into and forms part of these conditions. There may be some circumstances where the deliverables differ to that as seen on the services page, this can only be done with the prior agreement of both parties.

There is no minimum age restriction for these services, but you must ensure that you meet the age requirements for any third party platforms (i.e. PayPal/Stripe for payments).

3. Payments

All payments for services are processed through secure gateways including PayPal and Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to the terms of these third party platforms. By agreeing to start work testing your website/app you agree to pay the full amount within the timeframe agreed and specified on the invoice. If the full payment is not made, or if a payment is reversed, AssureUX reserves the right to take legal action against the client unless a resolution is made. Refunds may be granted in certain circumstances, particularly in cases of unmet service expectations.

4. User/Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding their website and associated needs, as well as contact and payment details. You agree not to engage in any activities that disrupt the testing processes or compromise the integrity of services provided. AssureUX has the right to terminate work at any time with good reason such as clients becoming abusive or non-responsive. If a client wishes to terminate a project, they must pay for all work completed up to that date.

5. Intellectual Property 

By accepting services at AssureUX, you agree that any reports, recordings and work that I generate belongs to AssureUX up until payment. The specific methodology of testing is owned by AssureUX, but once payment is received in full, the client owns the final report.

6. Confidentiality

Due to the nature of work, I acknowledge that some jobs may involve unreleased websites, apps or features, I will not leak any information from jobs that I work on, nor will I give any information to "competitors".

7. Review Guidelines

Users may be able to leave reviews or ratings. When submitting a review, you must comply with the following criteria:

  1. Users must have firsthand experience with the service being reviewed

  2. Reviews must not contain any false or misleading statements

  3. Reviews must not contain profanity, or any abusive, racist, offensive or any discriminatory language

  4. Users should not be affiliated with competitors if posting negative reviews

  5. Users must not encorage others to post reviews, whether positive or negative

Any breach of these terms may result in the deletion of your review and/or termination of future work.

8. Limitation of Liability

AssureUX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages/losses arising from the use of our services. Any cases where AssureUX are held liable, the total liability is capped at the sum of fees paid by the client for the specific project. Reports given by AssureUX are advisory and the client is responsible for any changes they make to their website.

9. Modifications

I reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, with updates communicated via this page on this website and possibly by email. Continued use of AssureUX's services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England.
