Privacy Policy

Throughout the Privacy Policy "I", "My", "This" refer to me as the sole trader operating under the name AssureUX. Similarly, "AssureUX" refers to my sole trader business.

1. Introduction

At AssureUX, I am committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you engage with this service.

2. Information Collection

Due to the way I run the testing here, some personal details will be taken. These include, your name, email address, company details and any other information that is provided during the inquiry or testing process. This information is stored securely on Wix (form submission) or Zoho mail servers (information given via email). Payment details are processed securely via third parties.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, I rely on the following legal bases to process your data: [1] Contractual necessity, to perform the services you have requested such as testing and reporting, [2] Legal obligation, to maintain records for tax and accounting purposes, [3] legitimate interests, to communicate with you regarding project progress and to improve services through feedback.

4. Data Sharing

At AssureUX, your data will NOT be sold. Information may be shared with payment processors like PayPal and Stripe to facilitate transactions. Your information may be disclosed if required to comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Security and Retention

High level security measures are taken to protect your data during and following testing engagements. While personal data is stored on secure Wix and Zoho servers, I remain responsible for its protection while in use.

Retention periods:

  • Project Reports and Deliverables: To protect your business' intellectual property, I do not maintain a permanent archive of final reports. Once a project is completed and the final report is delivered, all local copies and working files are deleted from any device used. A historical record of the report may remain within the email system, this is not used as an archive. It would be a breach of these terms for me to access this for any reason other than potential legal issues. It is your responsibility to maintain your own secure backup of any deliverables.

  • Business Correspondence: Records of email communications and form submissions are kept for up to 6 years. This is necessary to maintain a history of our professional relationship, handle future inquiries and defend any legal claims, should they arise.

  • Legal and Financial Records: To comply with UK tax law, I am required to keep all financial and contract records for 6 years following the end of the tax year in which the transaction occured.

6. User Rights

You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information at any time. You have the right for your data to be erased, and the right to restrict or object to the processing of your data. Contact me on contact@assureux.co.uk for any of these options.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

AssureUX may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the website and possibly by email. Continued use of AssureUX's services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
